Candle on Kenaniah's Cake

We finally put a candle on Kenaniah's cake.  We had discussed who should blow out Kenaniah's candle and decided we'd do it by blowing him a kiss.  I love it that our girls can talk about their brother (and others who are in heaven with him) without feeling awkward.  Sometimes we laugh, sometimes we cry, and sometimes we just talk.  We miss him, but we know we are amazingly blessed!!  God is so good!  We trust Him with our future and pray for His guidance, provision, and will as we pursue adopting a baby boy.

The candle is lit and the girls are ready to blow Kenaniah a kiss.

Kenaniah's 1st Birthday Cake

This is the birthday cake we made to celebrate Kenaniah's first birthday.  It won't win a contest, but the girls said it's beautiful! :) It's a little girlie, but I don't think he will mind.  Nicole wanted the butterfly, Natalie wanted a flower. Kaitlyn wanted a pattern on it, but I told her I'd just do a border. She wanted a heart on it too. They wanted to eat it today, but I didn't have a camera, so I told them we had to wait.
